At 60 years young and still going strong, The Kelvin Hotel is a 3.5 star, 61 room hotel in the heart of Invercargill, featuring Level One restaurant and bar, Editor’s Cut sports bar and our five versatile function spaces.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef looking to make that next step in their career and stamp their mark on Invercargill's dining scene.
Reporting to the Manager and as a member of The Kelvin Hotel’s leadership team the head chef will play a pivotal role. Creating menus, leading a high performing team, overseeing service, celebrating Southland’s finest produce and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Applicants will demonstrate the following attributes:
· Proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to articulate our vision
· Significant experience within large complex facilities
· Understanding and love of restaurant menus, bars and event catering
· Passion for food and creating high quality innovative guest experiences
· Superb time management and organisational skills
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
