Function Operations Manager
Overview
The Function Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all operational aspects of events across multiple outlets. This role ensures seamless event delivery, efficient logistical management, strong vendor relationships, and consistent service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day event operations across all outlets.
- Lead pre-event planning, including staffing, equipment setup, and logistical requirements.
- Ensure all operational procedures are followed, including communication of large or multi-outlet orders.
- Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure smooth delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health & safety, hygiene standards, and alcohol licensing regulations across event operations.
- Work cross-functionally with the events team, sales, management & clients
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in event operations or hospitality management.
- Current Manager's certificate or able to obtain one.
- Strong organizational and logistical coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events & outlets simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and vendor-management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for event schedules.
- Effective leadership and people management skills

- Experience in food and beverage and functions / events within a hotel environment is desirable.

- Excellent communicator with time management skills.
- Flexible with the ability to think on your feet and work in a busy team environment.

The hotel offers 92 first-class hotel rooms, including 5 deluxe studios, 2 suites and 14 apartment units. Our 24 motel units complete the 116 accommodation offerings, and all located within the Ascot Park Hotel complex.
